Understand which type of support your loved one needs

Monroe families may be comparing help with everyday tasks, dedicated memory support or a simpler independent lifestyle. Safe Haven Senior Advisors helps you understand the differences and explore options around Monroe and the wider Union County area without pressure to decide on a tour.

Separate daily assistance from memory support

Ask about help with dressing, bathing and medication routines, as well as support for memory changes. Compare the actual services rather than relying only on the name of a care level.

Make a care and cost comparison together

A lower base rent may not include the same support as another quote. Review care charges, one-time fees and what happens when more help is needed.

    Plan for family communication

Ask who your contact will be, how care updates are shared and how concerns are handled. A clear communication process matters after the move as much as it does during the search.

    Our Method

The CareFit Method: Talk & Shortlist, Tour & Decide Together, Move In & Follow Up

Finding a community is easy. Finding the right CareFit is hard. Here is how an occupational therapist decides whether a community can care for your loved one, whether you have to decide in months or days.

    Step 01

    Talk & Shortlist

A free discovery call, a short list built from rate sheets and what Summer has seen inside each community, then the tours with her beside you asking the questions you don't need to worry about forgetting.

    Step 02

    Tour & Decide Together

Summer does not choose for you. She makes your choice better informed, with the experience of having been present while other families made this same decision.

    Step 03

    Move In & Follow Up

She stays through the move and the first weeks after, and checks in regularly. If week two does not feel like the tour, there is someone to call.

    Why an Occupational Therapist

What having an Occupational Therapist on your side means for your family

Every advisor says personalized. It means the person evaluating your loved one's care needs is a licensed and registered occupational therapist who has performed and documented evaluations for seniors for more than 24 years.

She evaluates performance, not a pamphlet.

Bathroom and shower accessibility, staff size and culture, resident engagement, medication security, fall history and how the day actually goes. That is the OT lens, and it is the same lens a community's own nursing team will use at move in.

She knows what to ask after a community says yes.

When a sales director says "we have room," she knows the next questions to ask for someone with your loved one's diagnosis.

She has worked on the inside.

She has seen residents arrive at a community that looked great but struggled to retain medical staff. The warning signs that look nuanced to families are flashing red lights to her.

    She stays with you.

She tours with you, serves as your sounding board throughout your decision, then stays through the move and regularly checks in.

CareFit is not medical or financial advice, and it is not a full, in person OT evaluation. It's a process to inform your decision with information from a medical professional, and that decision always remains yours.
